American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.

Brooklyn is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Brooklyn follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Let me start out by saying I used to ADORE this place when I come to BK and visit friends or be in the city for work. I would recommend this place to anybody looking for something tasty in the morning! My go-to was a breakfast sandwich, bacon, egg, cheese w/ crispy hashbrown on a croissant with an iced coffee and a few doughnuts for my friend when I was staying with them. it was an absolute chef’s kiss every single time and I LOVED this breakfast sandwich no joke I would wake up excited for this sandwich!!! They had different flavors of doughnuts in the morning with unique flavors and I would ask the guy at the counter which one he recommended and he was kind and they had radical reading material like books on prison abolition, abortion resources, writings on queerness and gender variance, and books talking about the intersections of race and class and history and I loved going here in the morning!!! Or ratherβ€”I USED to love coming here. I don’t know if they got new owners or if things had to change but I went back here on Friday morning (July 24th) and saw that the reading materials were all gone, the person working at the counter was not who I had come to know, the doughnuts lo

I'm more of a cake donut person, but I got these for my wife who was needing to eat her feelings. The rise was nice, the dough was fluffy, what i was really impressed with was the glaze. Not one the top sweet like a lot of places these days, set well, nice crack to it when you went in. And that custard filled one...*chefs kiss*.... tick on the pricey side but you know, had to for science.

Went here for the first time today and just came for the doughnuts. I got 2 different kinds. The doughnuts are not good at all. There were a lot people in there so maybe the coffee and other items are better. However, I am definitely not going back for doughnuts.

It’s a small calm, mom and pop kind of vibe to it. Very chill laid-back. The food was amazing. The chicken sandwich phenomenal, and the coleslaw was crispy. Just how I like it. The donuts dumb was good. I started eating before I even got to take a picture. lol .. FAT DOUGHNUT I’m coming back lol .

2025 update: Been coming here for 2 years and have eaten an estimated 40 maple glazed donuts, it's one of the best donuts in NY. They modernized the shop and have an incredible choco chip cookie now. The coffee is their only weakness--I drink mine black and want more complexity. -- What to get--coconut donut and an iced coffee for ~$7. How it turned out: small batched, old fashioned donuts with a good chew. Generous size and very satisfying. I do feel a little guilty eating these, wish they were a bit smaller so I could try a variety.
